About The 2020 Festival Appeal

The 2020 Festival offers the opportunity for our Brethren to contribute to the continued success of the Masonic Samaritan Fund.  This valuable charity is funded entirely through voluntary donations and generous fundraising by Freemasons and their families.

The Masonic Samaritan Fund awards grants to pay for private treatment, care and support. Freemasons, their wives, partners, widows and dependants can apply when faced with a long wait through the NHS or Local Authority and they cannot easily afford private healthcare. Grants are available to fund medical treatment or surgery, functional dental treatment, mobility aids and equipment, respite breaks, counselling and consultations.

On average, the Fund grants £10,000 daily for Masonic families to cover the associated costs of a diagnosed health or care need. For further details and to determine your eligibility to apply for an MSF grant, visit their website at: www.msfund.org.uk/eligibility-calculator

As well as providing grants to cover the associated costs of a diagnosed health or care need, the MSF funds medical research projects which aim to improve the treatment of many illnesses and disabilities that affect Masonic families and the wider community. These grants are promoted monthly on the MSF website, along with other news from the Fund at: http://www.msfund.org.uk/news.php

Since the Masonic Samaritan Fund was established in 1990 the Fund has, thanks to the continued generosity of so many Masons, been able to provide over 11,000 grants at a total cost of over £60 million.
