The funeral of the late Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, The Rev'd David John Bowen, took place at Hereford Cathedral on Thursday 16 May 2019 at 2pm, in front of a congregation virtually filling the Cathedral.
David and Jill's daughter, Naomi, delivered a moving, and at times amusing, eulogy referring to RW Bro David's personal, family and work life, and the Deputy Provincial Grand Master in Charge, VW Bro Michael Holland, gave an address focusing on his extensive and impressive Masonic achievements.
Condolences were received from many Brethren who were unable to be present, and from other Provincial Grand Masters from around the country. Condolences were also sent from the Masonic Charitable Foundation, with which RW Bro David had a close relationship as President of the 2020 Festival.
Most of those present then attended at The Masonic Hall, Hereford, for refreshments.
